Andrea graduated from the University of South Australia in 1999 and has worked in the public and private sectors in both the country and the city. After completing a Masters Degree in Health Services Management in 2006, Andrea decided it was time to put his education to work and start his own practice, which culminated in the inception of AC Podiatry in late 2007.
As a podiatrist, Andrea has spent much of his professional career refining his skills with particular attention given to biomechanical, sports and paediatric podiatry. In addition to standard podiatric skills, Andrea has also completed numerous workshops in Dry Needling and Mobilisation. He is a member of Sports Medicine Australia, the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, a Mentor to final year students and new graduates, and is currently the podiatrist for the Central District Football Club in the SANFL.
Outside of work, Andrea is a father of two who loves nothing more than spending time with his family. His other interests include playing football (soccer), watching NFL, and travelling.
Zahra Lotfollahi graduated with the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Australia in Perth after obtaining her undergraduate degree from the University of Adelaide.
She decided to come back home after graduating to apply her knowledge and skills in her hometown of Adelaide.
Zahra is highly interested in biomechanics, sport injury prevention/treatment and paediatrics and she is very keen to undertake surgical training in the near future.
Zahra gained a lot of hands on experience while doing her placements in both public and private settings in Perth. She also did a private placement in one of the world’s best leading private clinics called the London Podiatry Centre where she was exposed to the most advanced therapeutic protocols for foot and ankle issues.
Zahra also completed dry needling and rigid tape workshops and she is interested in obtaining her prescription rights.
Outside work, Zahra is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys hiking and indoor cycling. She also loves to explore the world.
Dao completed her Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of South Australia in 2015. Whilst she was studying, Dao has participated in multiple outreach clinics in Broken Hill, Wilcannia and White Cliff in rural NSW. Dao has also completed numerous placements at GP Plus Elizabeth, Yorke and Northern Rural Region – Clare as well as Gawler health services.
As a podiatrist, Dao is constantly keeping up to date with the latest evidence based research and expanding her knowledge in multiple treatment modalities. She has a clinical interest in paediatrics, biomechanics and prevention and management of lower limb complications. Dao shares her time at AC Podiatry with Clare Community Health Service.
Aside from being a bit of a foodie, Dao enjoys her spending quality time with friends as well as hiking, playing squash, going to the gym and participating in social volleyball.
Alison is a very passionate health professional, having both a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Podiatric Services.
Alison specializes in neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone Disease, as well as having experience working in the field of Mental Illness and patients with a non-English speaking background. Her enthusiasm for the profession continues to grow every day as a member of the AC Podiatry team.
As a busy mum of two young boys, Alison still finds time to volunteer for her local State Emergency Service Unit. You can find Alison and her warm smile at our Oakden Clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Malgosia graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2013 and is the newest addition to the AC Podiatry team.
As a podiatrist she enjoys chronic disease prevention and management, as well as general biomechanics spending here career refining these skills in the private practice arena. Her caring nature is evident for all to see and her focus is always on providing her patients with the best care possible.
Since graduating from university, Malgosia has been committed to continued professional development. She has completed workshops in dry needling and mobilisation which she uses to aid her patients in reducing muscle pain and assisting rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Mal enjoys being active outdoors, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
Danielle joined AC Podiatry in 2010 as a casual receptionist. In the almost five years since then, she has shown herself to be a tireless worker with a gift for administrative tasks. In light of this Danielle was promoted to the role of Practice Manager in 2012. She has completed a Certificate IV in Small Business Management during her time in this role, which illustrates her commitment to professional development and AC Podiatry.
A favourite of patients, Danielle is very much seen as the face of AC Podiatry. With her brilliant smile and infectious personality, she has warmed the hearts of many a patient.
A native of Port Lincoln, Danielle loves the outdoors. She spends much of her time outside of work exercising and spending time with friends.
Izzy recently joined AC Podiatry as a receptionist at the end of 2015. She is studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Adelaide and hopes to graduate at the end of 2016. You can find Izzy between our Oakden and Adelaide CBD locations.
Outside of AC Podiatry Izzy is a keen athlete, playing netball for Pembroke Old Scholars and is currently in training for the Bagan Temple Marathon at the end of 2016.
Chris recently joined the AC Podiatry team from Podiatry Central as part of our move into the Adelaide CBD and her presence has made the transition easier for patients and staff alike.
With her warm and bubbly personality, strong work ethic, and ability to create delicious biscuits and other goodies, she has quickly found a place in the hearts of the food loving AC Podiatry Team.
Teigan joined AC Podiatry in June 2016, after previously working in the hospitality industry. She may be the youngest member of our administrative team; however she brings a maturity and level of composure that belies this fact. In addition to being a member of the AC Podiatry team, Teigan is currently studying a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and hopes to finish this by the end of 2017.
Outside of study and work Teigan enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Alex completed a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of South Australia in 2011. Since graduating from University, Alex has practiced in rural and metropolitan areas both locally and interstate. This includes employment at Lower Eyre Community Healt, Bunbury Regional South West Campus and Flinders Medical Centre.
In July 2015 Alex became a partner of AC Podiatry Country in Clare and Riverton. Since then, Alex has overseen the expansion of the clinic culminating in the refit of, and relocation to, our contemporary new location at 1/25 Old North Road and the development of a strong working relationship with Advance Physiotherapy
As a podiatrist Alex thoroughly enjoys chronic disease prevention and management with her primary interests being high risk podiatry, nail surgery, general biomechanics and paediatrics. Aside from general podiatry training, Alex has also completed training in dry needling.
Outside of work Alex enjoys cycling, travelling, fishing, cooking and spending time with family back on the farm.
Abbe graduated from the University of South Australia in 2008 and commenced her Podiatry career at the Whyalla Hospital and Health Services. She has now worked in both public and private settings,in both metropolitan Adelaide and rural South Australia.
Abbe has developed a wide variety of experience across all aspects of podiatry including: routine
and diabetic foot care; wart treatment; orthoses; paediatrics; sports podiatry; dry needling and ingrown toe nails.
The quiet country lifestyle is something Abbe enjoys and in her spare time she likes to keep active, playing netball and running .
Josie joined the AC Podiatry team as a casual in October 2015 and was an integral part of our transition from our Ness Street address to our fantastic new location on Old North Road. In addition to being a very capable and warm administrative staff member, Josie is also a qualified allied health assistant with 16 years’ experience in the allied health industry.
Outside of work Josie enjoys spending time with her two sons and family along with an interest in mind body wellness.
Simone is our newest addition to the AC Podiatry Country team and done incredibly well getting up to speed in very quick time. You would think she has been with us from the start!
Simone has a background in health administration and also has a keen eye for creativity making her a lovely fit to the country team.
Outside of work Simone enjoys playing football, live music, travel and working on her graphic art.
